About Us Our Handmade Soaps are free from harsh chemicals and are rich in natural oils to leave your skin feeling clean and moisturized. We make our soaps using the Cold Pour process and make them in small batches so that we can monitor each one carefully. Driven to find the perfect soap that wouldn't leave our skin dry or itchy has lead to this new found passion of creating soaps. Instead of finding just one perfect soap recipe, we think we've found several that will hopefully meet all your family's needs. Don't let the small list of ingredients on some of the soaps mislead you as simple is typically better! It has come to our attention that there are a lot of misconceptions about lye soaps. First of all, ALL soap whether in solid or liquid form is made from a form of lye. It would not be soap if lye weren't used to help it go through the chemical process called saponification which binds the liquids to the oils and converts them into soap. When the saponification process is complete, there is no lye left in the soap! It is a beautiful alchemical process and one that never ceases to amaze us. When a batch of soap is complete, all that is left are the moisturizing oils that leave your skin soft and clean. No detergents are in handmade soap such as are in the commercial soaps most of us grew up with. Furthermore a natural by-product of handmade soap is that the glycerin is left in the soap and in most commercially made soap the glycerin is extracted and sold to make glycerin soap! We think our handmade soaps are the best of all worlds and once you've sampled ours, you will too. We have soaps to benefit all skin types and preferences. Stroll through our gardens of soaps for sensitive skin types and look at the soap made with skin soothing Goat Milk or you might like to try a nice bar of Butter Milk soap. We have a soap for the Mechanic or Gardener that cleans up extra dirt and grease called Kitchen & Garden Scrubby Coffee Soap. In keeping with the vintage theme we have a soap we've named Simply soap with only a few ingredients that is very moisturizing yet cleansing and is very similar to what a lot of our Grandmothers and Great-Grandmothers used to make many years ago. We're adding soaps and different items to our gardens quiet often and if you have a special need we'd love to hear from you! WE INVITE WHOLESALE INQUIRIES! Contact us -
